As a dietary supplement, Evening Primrose Oil is high in total Essential Fatty Acids. Primrose contains over 70% of the Essential Fatty Acid, Linoleic Acid, and is unique in providing a direct dietary source of the vital Gamma Linolenic Acid. FoodScience guarantees a minimum of 117 mg (10%) Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) per 1300 mg capsule. Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) is converted by natural processes in the body to the prostaglandins which have a range of important functions such as a regulator of brain function and the immune system.

Each capsule contains 1,300 mg Oil of Evening Primrose yielding 910 mg Linoleic Acid and 130 mg Gamma Linolenic Acid.
